Beauty Tips that Boost Your Confidence
Beauty is truly only skin deep, and at the end of the day, it’s pretty meaningless if we don’t foster the more lasting parts of our identity, like kindness and intelligence. In simple ways we can look more aesthetically pleasing — which in turn will hopefully give us that little added boost of confidence.
Perfect Your Eyebrows
There are a few options to have perfect eyebrows. You can go to a salon and get them waxed or threaded, or you could create the perfect shape for yourself. Knowing your face shape is the first step to creating your most beautiful look, then decide how thick or thin to go and shape your brows using tweezers and an eyebrow pencil.
You need to find the right spot for your inner brows. To start is the key to create a perfect eyebrow, starting too far could throw off the balance of your face. Arch around the eye, and finds the place where the arch peaks, it is essential for making eyebrows look perfect. If you have a round face, aim for a more angular brow. Choose a softly rounded brow if you have a square or oblong face. Lastly, determine where your brow should end. Finding the right place for brow to end is as important as where it begins.
Removing dark circles under the eyes
Research shows that dark circles can make us look tired, sad, and older than we are. There are a number of contributing factors for dark circles. Some common causes include fatigue, age, allergies, dehydration, sun exposure, and genetics.
Treatment for dark eye circles depends on the underlying cause. However, there are some home remedies that can help manage this condition. Some of the more common methods include:
Get extra sleep. Insufficient sleep can lead to fluid buildup underneath the eyes, making them look puffy.
Apply Sunblock. Make sure to apply sunscreen every day to protect your skin against sunlight. The level of melanin starts reducing in the body when you overexpose yourself under the Sun. Melanin is that pigment which is responsible for providing color to your skin. Overexposing under the sun leads to pigmentation of the skin surrounding the eyes, making them appear dark.
Drink more water. This is a common reason behind the formation of dark circles under the eyes. When your body doesn’t get the water it needs, the skin beneath the eyes starts looking dull and your beautiful eyes appear sunken. This happens due to their presence in close proximity to the underlying bones. Drink enough water because this is important for many aspects of health, including body temperature, nutrient transport, and brain function.
Apply powder through a tissue
Heavy makeup and foundation can worsen the condition of your skin. Instead, it is better to use light makeup and transparent face powders. Alternatively, you can apply your usual powder through a tissue. The powder layer will be as light as if you aren’t wearing any at all.
Keep Your Teeth White
According to a study from the University of Leeds featured on Business Insider, clean white teeth are a quick indicator of good health and thus instantly make us more attractive to others.
Self-confidence is the most attractive quality a person can have. How can anyone see how great you are if you can’t see it?
No matter how down you feel, try to pat yourself on the back a little and remember the things you excel at. Focusing on your better attributes will distract you from perceived flaws and boost your sense of worth. Think of your good qualities in looks, friendships, talents, and most of all, personality.
